To be honest, no. I will let TC address the finer points around CFDA/SMRA considering their knowledge of the process.


Having done a reasonable amount of business in developing markets, in an albeit completely unrelated industry, my experience is more that these bureaucratic processes and the associated red tape are a great way for government organisations to generate money and justify new departments by enforcing compliance with a local requirement in exchange for a tax / fee / application money etc... In my opinion they're not trying to stop anyone at all, they simply set the rules and the fee and if you want to supply, you pay the fee. But maybe I need to update my viewpoint.
