I think the directors have no card left to play. They have been riding on the same excuse for the last 2 years and it's running thin. IMO, the statements from Rex can be summarised to:

1. Vimson is not my fault.
2. I'm highly qualified and I have quite a bit of skin in the game.
3. I didn't ask for the job. So, whatever.

If PB cannot do his work, he could just slice 50-60k of his salary to get an assistant instead of pulling the "you're all too tiring to deal with". The Browns are right. These directors are just using the same old excuse to keep the status quo. They are simply not performing.
