The salary saved could be put towards a directorship from outside the current sphere. If Norwood isn't going to replace Paul (I've always thought he should be replaced and given the position of Chair with a new and effective CEO put in) then look for a director that sits on the Telstra board, TPG board or somewhere similar to try and cross pollinate a bit. It would probably only cost $50-100k and give Norwood a foot in the door.

What isn't working is the status quo. In the tech game time is of the essence, very very few companies succeed and stay successful. Norwoods tech is ageing and it's been four years of very little. Norwood needs to cash in now if they have any hope of clawing back the $40m lost so far.
