Bouris is already facing a hostile $25.4 million takeover bid for the listed company from corporate raider Ron Brierley and his Mercantile Investments after Macquarie sold its holding.

RAMcap claims it spent a huge $306,000 purchasing Yellow Brick Road shares in April as part of Macquarie’s exit from the register (making it 20 per cent of the fund’s assets).

“Despite RAMcap’s efforts in submitting a quality candidate as replacement independent YBR chairman Bouris has chosen to reject the opportunity to step aside preferring – as our nominee says – to stay in a messy fight,” the plumber turned fundie says.

Bit rich considering they control just 1.2 per cent of the company’s shares.

Even struck-off fund manager Nicholas Bolton’s former shop Aurora Funds Management owns more shares in Yellow Brick Road.
