Manono's tin holdings are world class. This was after all what it was originally mined for producing a Sn concentrate.

Although, the historical information from @mineralised would suggest that the previous Sn grades back when the belgian were exploiting were higher - the vast quantity of the Sn IMO would be a viable project on it's own. There is more contained Sn in the manono project than there are global reserves on tin. FYI

People can read my posts here on the tin and where it sit's comparatively to other global reserves.

Regardless, it will be materially and economically significant if the Sn can be separated in either the DMS or flotation circuits. From the process flow chart's provided by PLS (whom extract tantalum) and AVZ's recent process flow chart imo it appears it will be extracted primarily pre-flotation. This appears feasible as the preliminary met test's suggest that the tin is relatively easily liberated from the lattice. Given AVZ will likely target a crush size of 3.35mm or there-about's it is somewhat limited to how much of this physical tin it can extract.

This is quite complicated - but without going into too much detail. In simplistic language - if you grind your spodumene to dust (MLL) typically you will see higher recoveries and you will liberate more economic material from the junk. This comes at a extremely high opex cost.

AVZ's primary focus is to produce the best spodumene concentrate with optimum crush size for its suppliers. The Sn by-product and process circuitry will be optimised for the output thereof

Simply put - "Stage 1" DMS only spod 6%+ and Sn concentrate may be relatively low without further benefaction. As essentially waste/by-product from an optimised spodumene circuit.

Stage 2 - Would see flotation circuitry for the lith and probably a secondary beneficiation to the by-product Sn concentrate. IMO

As has been previously indicated - Whilst Sn concentrate will generate additional revenue - it can come at a cost. Ideally AVZ will focus on a process circuit which optimises their spod output and scores a Sn waste product which would otherwise just be dumped and instead can be sold. If they can seperate some Sn from the lattice of the spod and also the waste it will add no extra opex but will introduce some credits (preferably sold on-site and therefore transported + beneficated by someone else.
