SaberX, I agree with your concerns and as you highlighted I don't think it will happen overnight. After reading the original information provided with the proxy (not the coffee table book recently sent out) I am still of the opinion that there is a big plan being developed. Even though MIN will control 75% why would you put 3 good board members on unless you are looking at controlling costs, production and profits on a large scale.
I don't see this as a one project JV, I think they may be planning several campaigns at once ( mini MIN). Thus the need for strong board and management guidance. It would be interesting to see what MIN is looking at locally to see if it has eyes on some projects that may fit this JV structure.
RDG needs to reassess and change tack as they are trying to do. With the support of MIN I still believe they will surprise albeit in the future.
We watch with interest after the meeting to see how quick they move. More opportunities than risk going forward.
