The difference is he is Executive Chairman at Archer and that attracts an executive salary.
I don’t believe he is qualified to be an executive of a deep tech company. The company has moved on from mining, he should move on also. There may be an argument for him to be non executive chairman. The executive salary would be better spent on an executive that fits the bill.
