I would expect them to do their jobs without lining their own pockets and disguising that as "performance" rewards but setting the bar so low that they will get them without doing anything extra. OK, a personal bug bear for me so maybe my reaction is a bit over the top.
The performance levels are what we know will happen anyway over the next three months.
