To justify my uneasiness with the proposed Li mine in Spain (Viilasrublas Project) I suggest that maybe Li Ion batteries may not be the final word in battery technology. I think GML need to be very careful where they invest.
a) There is a massive research effort around the world to find higher capacity, more robust and better batteries than Li Ion batteries.
eg. https://unauthorised investment advice/tech/altech-to-commercialise-100mwh-sodium-alumina-solid-state-batteries-for-grid-storage/
b) There are many players already deeply into Li mining, processing and production. Being competitive may not be easy.
