I would prefer not to lose the production asset but as you point out this game is changing very quickly and who even knows who our partner could be if STX get taken out.

The critical thing right now is the government approval and finance approval.

Massive de-risking and once the cash cow is plugged in so to speak, the controlling partner becomes somewhat less of an issue (there being no reason to turn off the tap and the valuation being clearer as the money rolls in day by day).

Gurvantes and Petro is the sleeper. The truly left field corporate play could actually to be a split this up at some stage and merge the Gurvantes interest back into TMK.

Probably unlikely, but it would make sense for PetroChina to eventually have one partner and a split could be a way of extracting value and allowing a single area focus into the Perth Basin (having three interesting projects there now).

We need to get to 30-40c to reduce the attractiveness of Walyering imo.

If that happens then a big payday will be on the cards imo.

Rolling our part of Gurvantees into TMK is an interesting concept.
