1. Consolidation will allow for more effective price discovery.
2. Improved order flow spread ($value between pips = less execution slippage) will result in more institutional money flow.
3. Improved discount metrics should PNR ever need to raise capital.
4. Harder for an entity to cap price using large block sell orders.
5. Pip traders will no longer be able to scalp PNR.
6. Some fund managers refuse to trade in stocks with excessive SOI.
I like the name.

When the generalist investor finally enters the precious metals arena, they'll first look for any company with a name related to precious metals.
@wassa and I had this debate with SL when he was renaming GCY.
I guess in hindsight it turned out that SL was absolutely right about the Spartan name, having said that though SL did really like Wassa's name suggestion (Pure Gold Ltd).
There's no doubting what a company like Pure Gold mines...
