I was holding ESS for over a year and used to do daily posts so I know what happened there.
When the offer was made ESS was sitting in early to mid 30s. Offer came for 50 in Jan and it jumped around that number. I got out then as I had told that time.
Firstly, if the offer was not made to ESS and say it went the same path as other 80 or so Li stocks since Jan (based on my Weekly Report), then on an average price has fallen at least 50% for most. So ESS would have been sitting at mid teens now if no offer had come.
MIN bought in April. Since then no additional drilling happened to increase anything. In fact, nothing happened even for one year before. It was just sitting on a resource without able to increase by anything for a long time. Overall Li sector was on decline. If MIN had not bought into, why would have SP increased, just based on how others were faring after April.
So what I am trying to say that we may not comparing same things. I still can understand the bad sentiment against MIN and some may be warranted, but I feel because of such early stage of WC8 and possible potential of something big to happen in future (I said possible, drill will do the talking), circumstances are different. Just my thought, I could be wrong.
