AGN will announce results in 4 months time proving up reduction in calcium influx reduces neuronal death. That mechanism of action to protect neurons is the same for both :

1. AGN glutamate inhibition of receptor Glun2b which stops the release of calcium and which then leads to calcium not being available to travel across TRPC channels into neurons. Indicated for primary brain injury and HIE

2. NYR inhibits the TRPC channels which does not allow any calcium to come through into the neuron. Indicated for not only primary can target secondary brain injury and provide heart muscle protection during all strokes
