Fixed deposit offset loan.

You have $10,000.

You put that $10,000 in fixed depoit at the bank.

You take a loan on that fixed deposit ,get 70 % i.e $7,000

Use the loan to buy assets. Interest deductable on that $7,000 plus the interest charged is much less than taking out straight loan.

Old peak swaps shares and get cash, which they desperately need.

Buyers have no right to vote as no shares are sold but swapped.

Buyers sells the shares but Old peak hasnt called on their share so still has control of the shares hence still long.

Old peak's strategy of I want the cake and the pudding too.
