Weiss have been involved with PSC for some time. Without precise details of the nature of the equity swap, it impossible to be sure what is the purpose of their involvement, however, looking back at PSC1 it is clear they were arbitraging the share price to dividend opportunity. You may remember that the discrepancy at one stage blow out to 30%plus. They were highly geared to this. I can't see any arbitrage style opportunity with PSC at present so it may just be a geared bet on SP appreciation.
