Could be one of 2 things.
Francis is a benevolent and kind founder who cares for his subjects and doesn’t want to be greedy and dilute us further, he knows this thing is going to $5b+ and is happy with his incoming $250m personal fortune.
Francis knows there’s going to be more dilution from
equity partner than first envisioned and so given his stated public aim of having less than 200m soi he is electing to decline this round of incentives to save face and keep the dilution as low as possible……knowing also that this is going to $5b and that by saying no now he can clean up again later.
either way it’s a nice thing to see.
