I'm on break so had time to read the entire EIS supplement today.
For the draft EIS, 4 submissions were received from the NT Government (EPA), Environment Centre NT, Amateur Fisherman's Association NT, Paspaley Pearling Company. As part of the community engagement process following the EIS draft submissions, TNG engaged with all these parties as well as representatives of the traditional owners of the area, the Larrakia Nation.
Without exception, the waste water quantity & quality for all was the major concern, with water usage at 25% Darwins annual consumption being the other.
These submissions are in appendix A.
TNG engaged with all stakeholders & the points of discussion are summarised in the main document section 3.5.3.3 Table 3-45
The responses to NT government points raised is in section 6.1 Table 6-2
Of the 52 items raised, the Zero Liquid Discharge Waste Water Treatment Plant removes around 22 of these as a consideration.
I don't know how to phrase this properly, but my day job is kind of similar to this - identifying what documentation is required, encouraging those responsible for putting together the information to do it correctly, co-ordinating reviews with stakeholders, managing the submission when it's ready, working through the review comments & resolving those.
Stakeholders (those who made submissions) have been consulted & listened to (IAP2).
I know I'm overly biased, but this supplement submission reads to me as though TNG are there.
