Just because you are not sent the bidder's statement, because you were not on the register on August 4th is irrelevant. Under the Corporations Act the rights to a takeover travel with the shares when they are sold. Anyone buying the shares prior to the expiry date of the takeover bid will be entitled to accept the 5.5c offer from Bangchak Petroleum. Buying at 5c would deliver a 10% profit in under 3 months in my estimation. Provided the bid gets up, of course.
