The SMN share price has only traded at this price during 1 hour in the 2 months preceding the trading halt. For a company on the verge of a company making announcement in the next 2 months, that in my opinion is a ridiculous price to pitch the CR at - especially when they said they didn't need a CR just a week earlier. When you throw in the fact that one of the beneficiaries of the CR, is a company that the person who organized the CR has just joined, then i can't see how you can deny that this has a very bad smell about it. At the very least, apart from this being unethical, it shows really bad judgement and a faulty moral compass on the part of the directors. As a shareholder, I don't really want people like that running a company I have invested in. In addition, I would be concerned that customers of SMN may not be keen to deal with such a morally deficient and unprofessional company. Not a good look.
