The takeover if it happens, which I just cannot see them getting to 50% and even if they do they will never get to 75% and will have to deal with a hostile minority shareholder base. But gotta give credit to the legal team from the acquirer, they have played a perfect hand and given us a real scare. I reckon a lot of the stock traded to build the position was from the raise that Petra did to build the mill a couple of years ago in the 30s so ok they are all taking a double and getting out. The deal as it stands undervalues things and the entire sector massively. Why bother investing in this space and funding these junior producers when they can be taken over with no premium no premium. We have borne all the risk with the fears about the orebody (unfounded). If a company like say tcg wand to build a mill now with the deposit they have which by the way is not dissimilar to abujar, taking into account their current market cap and capex to build the plant/mill/ powerline etc…they would be asking the question if it’s all worth it. Frankly so am I asking if abujar was all worth it? This deal kills sector valuations. Was this always going to happen - seems so by looking at the register and the fact caigen has bailed on us. There is no way we should allow this buyout for a paulty 800m aussie or whatever the current offer is.
