Correct me if I'm wrong but as at June 30 AFL had around $3m in cash (or equivalent)? Even if they burned it all on buy-back it's unlikely to get the price back above 30c in the absence of some material change in management direction. Seems a little knee-jerk in response to negative investor sentiment. We'll see. I'd rather see some acknowledgement of the issues raised around remuneration and underlying fundamentals.
