there is much more love for ETF’s than LIC’s because generally they outperform LIC’s

infact ETF’s outperform most direct share investors… they are the sensible choice

(if you understand accounting, look at PE’s know the ROE, look at the financials - direct shares are probably your choice)

if you are (1) leaving a legacy for non financial people (2) want dividend coverage during financial crisis provably ARG is the best bet. I like ARG AFI BKI.

I am mostly a direct share investor but started with ARG and will probably end with ARG AFI. Stable reliable constant dividends.

if l was 20 l would chose IOO IVV and VAS. I am choosing ETFs not LIC’s as I know they will do better and I have the capacity to cope with fluctuating dividends.
