You are correct. The previous post was (IMO) making unwarranted assumptions, based more on hope than anything else. Doesn't really add much.
For me, as far as the short term SP goes we are in urgent need of some positive news to counter this continual sell down. Buy back will achieve nothing lasting SPwise. The only benefit will be a reduction of SOI. (@sillazze gave his reasoning, some time back, as to the to the major purpose behind this reduction.)
Looking at the 3 minute trading figures there are relatively consistent largish negative dumps in between the status quo boring algo driven bullsh!t. Is it genuine market sentiment or are there forces at work designed to keep a lid on the market cap for nefarious purposes.
Whatever, IMO we are significantly undervalued on a fundamentals basis and that is what I invest in.
