Qantas received over $2bn of taxpayer funded bailouts to get through the covid pandemic. Despite ongoing mismanagement leading to deepening losses the company announces that they'll spend $400bn to buy back its own stock. This is one of the worst examples of rorting of public funding that I have ever seen.
