having said all that Bayhunter all your conclusions are still correct.

- they either didnt have funds or want all their allotment (or both)
- announced during quiet time (not sure if they could have announced it earlier) are just following protocol here
- the new shares they did get were effectively added to the SOI for no consideration on their part given how the cashless EF works as explained above.

but we have to also be some what realistic in the sense that these incentives are part and parcel of the job and without wed be having to pay higher salaries effecting ability to get to profitability and cash flow positive etc.

in my time invested in NOV I haven't ever seen any Directors or board bullishly buying up shares on market etc
