no one would say that you are silly for taking money off the table at this point mate. I've sold down 50% of my total portfolio and appen is the only tech stock i still hold. i agree that tech stocks and the market are over valued in general, and your comment about tech stocks being the most over valued ever- well they should be. The pandemic has created a once in a lifetime shift to technology that brought forward 10yrs of change in 6-12months. Are there overvalued companies in the asx tech sector? Yes of course. Is appen over valued? I think on a forward 12months view probably about at value maybe even slightly undervalued. So, a pullback in tech stocks is possible, probable even. A pull back in appen? hard to say. A note about the dot com boom, if you look back at individual stocks during the dotcom bust, you will actually find that good quality companies of a similar calibre to appen did well, of course there were bumps but most of the companies that experienced catastrophic busts were companies that were not making a profit, were simply caught up in the hype just because they had dotcom in their name. This always happens in bubbles but as Jim Cramer says "theres always a bull market somewhere" and i reckon Appen is the bull. Good luck all
