Mining matters are dealt with by the Ministry of Finance. The Ministry states the following about the project: ECM Lithium AT GmbH has been granted 20 mining licenses (as of September 2023). In addition, ECM Lithium AT GmbH holds a large number of mining licenses in the Weineben area and also in the aforementioned areas of Styria. However, both prospecting authorizations and mining authorizations only represent a "mere legal title". Additional permits or authorizations from the mining authority are required to exercise them. No such applications have been submitted to date.
