DP and other directors were granted the options at no cost. They had a value which was calculated as per below. Tax will be payable, but seems to be more of a question of when. The tax paid will be income tax on the option value, and then capital gains when the shares ( from option exercise) are sold.
So looks like the value of the options on issue was 0.81 cents . DP was issued 98 million and MF and RH 50.8 million.
Like you, I'm no expert but found some info that might help explain somewhat.
