I don’t know too many employees who have a spare million dollars to convert options and sit on them especially when there is plenty of time.
I do know employees including oneself, who have commissioned a broker to convert the options (ie broker financed conversion) who then on sold the fully paid shares giving the employee the balance less commission and finance fees.
This scenario could have netted the employee $50k.
This also might be why the SP performed badly yesterday…
