Long, long story short....They hit a government. Large conventional discovery (the spike) and CSG reserves unfortunately timed with the rise of the anti CSG movement in a very alternative part of Australia. Effectively resulted in a political brick wall, culminating in illegal suspension of activities by the NSW government. The resulting settlement was used to set up current operations/investments.
My last post wasn't very compassionate - sorry - but it is effectively a completely different company in terms of board, projects and strategy.
