Each to their own CP. IMO, charts are definitely useful for deciding entry and exit points, indicating trends, etc etc. I agree with you that indicators are going to get over-stretched in a discovery scenario.

But you are making an enormous and invalidated assumption when you say that "most educate themselves out of (charting)". All that means with reference to your "real world" is that you couldn't make charts work for you.
