Stellar seems to be an interesting new cryptocurrency that solves a couple of issues of bitcoin & co. It was developed by some of silicon valley's brightest minds ('All star team') and the former founder of Ripple, which is now the go-to blockchain technology for big banks.

While Ripple seems to struggle to provide a feasible cross-border payments solution (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-blockchain-ripple/banks-unlikely-to-process-payments-with-distributed-ledgers-for-now-says-ripple-idUSKBN1J92JG ),

the stellar network seems to go a different direction as a nonprofit organisation.

Anchors, as Novatti, receive up to US$2m worth in Lumens (XLM) for their services per grant. These grants are subject to the achieving of milestones and multi-year vesting.

So only if the Stellar network gets traction in the AUD corridor, Novatti has an additional revenue stream; in excess of the US$2m, if the price for XLM increases.

I'm expecting no big upside in the short term, but good for Novatti to have ticket in the cryptocurrency lottery.
