In the case of MU19DD04 they say the drilling stopped at the fault. Could be due to the irregular nature of the fault, in some places the drill gets hung up, in other places the drill passes through, it is not a uniform thing. Just my guess.

Here is an image of the core from CGT_023 from the ASX Announcement of Mar 11, 2008 which presented the news of VG before the assays were available. This is from the 12.5 meter interval through the Shicer Gully Fault.
