Because they don't have adequate resources and the whole EV / cathode theme is on a thin ice right now anyway. If I had to bet on anyone in the industry, I'd got for larger, established businesses instead of a small, no-revenue money burner. Even Umicore (I am familiar with EU stocks) which has a joint business with VW is seeing slower EV demand than anticipated ahead and is holding back its cathode capacity expansion.
Now, the more appropriate question would be: Why would NVX succeed? Just like in science, it would be reasonable to start off by proving a positive statement. So, tell me: why?
