Warren B. is a big liar. He says one thing and does another. And that's his way of making money now, he operates on such a big scale that if he says 'I sold xyx now' - even though it might be true, it is actually becoming self fulfilling prophecy.
It has been shown on a few occasions that he lied front face. And btw. his investment methodology, still being not a bad idea, will never make him that money it made 20-30 years ago because of completely different economy environment and information flow. For example : NWH - what is 'not Buffety in this stock' ? hah ? 1st year in many years of slight profit slump ? Show me 10 companies on ASX that have P/E and Div, and even future profits better than NWH has !!! NWH is still making profits ! Most of the ASX stocks are loosing money, full stop.
With NWH's new P/E estimate (as per today's report it is ~ P/E = 3.0 !!!), even if (if !) div is sliced to 4-5 c it will still be ~ 10% yield annually. I am not buying more right now, pain with paper loss is enough, but when it stops falling I will buy more. Btw : then this would be Buffet's buy time when 'blood is on the streets'.
btw: I am surprised by impairment but this is out of my expertise
