"In a similar way, I think the Hardman SP may possibly in a few weeks time overshoot a rational probability-based estimate of what this campaign is likely to deliver, and even if the campaign is operationally fairly successful it may well struggle to lift the SP short term above the optimistic levels it may perhaps reach just before the campaign starts. I'm certainly not in love with Hardman, or any other oil company. I don't have the very long term it's-a-great-company-with-great-prospects approach that some do. Most of my holdings are just medium-term plays on the immediate prospects being a bit better than the SP discounts. I've clearly written before that I shall be topslicing my very large holding early in the drilling campaign, but for the next few weeks running up to this round of drilling, I think the risk/reward for Hardman is attractive."
