    LICs have the capability to continue paying same dividend during bad years by using retained earnings from previous years.
    they don't have to pay out 100% of earnings each year.
    AFI maintained it's 24 cps ordinary dividend throughout the post GFC years and also this year despite declines in dividends received
    and earnings.
    I don't own either of these currently.
