AFI is now closer to $10 billion worth of assets and the MER - management expense ratio - (currently 0.14%) is calculated as $1.40 per $1000 invested. When applied to the $10B, you're only looking at approximately $10 million in fees. Of particular note, is the MER has actually reduced in recent times, as in 2022 it was slightly higher at 0.16%.
