Argo’s recent investor presentation showed a 30 year chart mapping the premium/discount to NTA. It’s been cyclical for the entire three decade time horizon, with time spent above or below NTA often stretching to several years.
My view is to embrace what the market is giving you….buy when there’s a good discount to NTA and lighten when it moves to a premium.
PS. Recently bought back into AFI at $7.13….what I see as a nice discount to pre-tax NTA.
