This is a trial with 4 ppl, non blinded, it could just be the placebo effect and this has actually been increasing with time. Maybe people expect drugs to be more effective these days.
The updrs has a lot of self reported answers and then the rest are evaluated by the clinician so lots of room for sub-conscious biases.
Just being in a clinical trial can improve patient's treatment and psychological well-being, its why oncology patients do better in clinical trials.
The cross over component is good for the phase 2b trial but for global penetration they would still need a further phase 3 trial.
Anyone know if they have started implanting patients yet?
