Hey mate it was $53 million to put the mining waste material back into the pit. To fill in the additional void left by the volume of spodumene taken was not even calculated by CXO who themselves said that if they had to import fill material for this, it would make the project not economically viable. More concerned about this last bit than the $53 million.
