We already have one of those. Its called Observation Hill Dam. Been there since the 80s. There is a lot wildlife there.
But there won't be once it's turned into a muddy hole (at best) or bone dry.
CXO have staked their operational water balance on Observation Hill Dam being full, or even better for them, being much larger due to their plans to raise the spillway.
What happens if the next wet season is as bad as this last one? How will OHD get filled for CXO's operations?
What readers might not know is that after the appalling wet season we just had, OHD is now lower than it was at the end of the previous dry season.

This video from those scallywags at #StopCoreLithium shows the OHD about 8 months ago.

This photo shows OHD taken in early April.

You can clearly how much lower the dam is now.

Maybe CXO has magical technology to fill this dam, I'm not sure. The dam only fills from local runoff.

One thing is certain though, if they spend a lot of capital on raising the dam spillway, installing 5 kms of pipeline and access roads, and it doesn't rain, then what?
