when Xi decided to stop exporting rare earths in response to trumps tarrifs, i saw NTU shares double but i didn't see any other miners double. surely if NTU was such a bad bet then it would have at least been across the board or the other way round where other HRE miners might have doubled and NTU maybe inches up but the others were like 10 or so % and NTU was smashing 20% on some days. ofcourse they slipped after so it was a bit of an knee jerk reaction but its still a stand out. I don't honestly know a lot about dysprosium and terbium and the practicality of mining one deposit or another but i do understand cause and effect and i assume there are a lot of people out there that do understand it and they underpin the share value. ive also seen NTU in the media a bit and as the focus of some positive government attention/funding so the odds of this all happening where they were such a dead in the water company are super unlikely. not to mention the chinese investors forced to divest their shares by the gov so as to not cede control of such a strategic asset surely means there are some expert eyes on NTU and the gov has plans for the survival or NTU. its clearly a matter of national strategy. im invested in about about 60% of my net wealth mostly because im terminally ill so if it goes well it will be fun if it goes bad I won't be here to mope about it anyway.
