It makes me laugh a little to see some using 'hot-air' to describe an announcement that states:
"We have seen first hand the early anecdotal evidence which demonstrates the immediate responsive change in some children who have APD when wearing IQBuds."
And
"Having conducted preliminary studies with other institutions we are now prepared to effect a more comprehensive research study with Ear Science Institute Australia, with a view to publishing the results."
So... it's all a bit of 'hot-air' that the co is already sufficiently satisfied the buds are effective for treating APD, and so confident they will put them to some rigorous testing and publish the results? Yeah nothing to get excited about. lol.
This is an important step in building awareness, verifying effectiveness, providing a basis for professional recommendations, insurance cover, improving lives, selling buds, etc.
If that's 'hot-air'... keep it coming!!
This co is still developing products and markets. And this announcement is evidence of that. This isnt simply a product to listen to music or take calls. This a product a significant number of people may actually need to function optimally. And imo its safe to assume will likely be covered by insurance! you can safely guarantee parents will be all over the IQbuds if they can be demonstrated to assist with APD.
With enough of this "hot-air" we will rise against ol bruutz's self coined "financial gravity" and once we enter "blue skies" there will be no "return to earth". We will find ourselves in the gravitational pull of sonova/cochlear.
