Hp is a license agreement that NUH will have paid for to use the HP name. Sonova signed an agreement to sell the product through a huge number of stores ( 3200 stores) with little/no result. That agreement was 3 years, no minimum volume requirement, an almost exact replica number of stores announced by the USA yesterday. This is the problem, specsavers, 3000 stores, usa 3000 stores, sonova 3000 stores - they have all come and all gone as there was no customer uptake. That is the bottom line.
Not trying to be negative as i am in and a shareholder, but a key moment for me yesterday was the mention of ENT in the distribution model in the USA, that i can say excites me, and it is about time, and something they should have continud on with trying to do in 2018, had they done so, and not messed about for a year employing someone from Samsung to try and sell the company to Samsung, they would be far further forward than they are today.
So by the ENT method, i like it, its where you will catch the sale ( outside of audiology ) and that will be interesting to see how that develops.
