You are missing the point, the ENT do audiometry testing, if its mild, instead of sending to an audiologist ( as would be the norm at present), they can easily recommend Nuheara for patients with mild hearing loss, before going to an audiologist, which will direct the customer to the OTC product and away from the audiologist.. The ENT will only direct them to an audiologist if they feel they require a hearing aid, if there is a product that assists that means the patient does not have to be directed to an audiologist, then in my opinion, it is a good channel to be in, if its done correctly. As Nuheara at present is the only approved product that can now sit in audiology stores, where the patient may end up anyway, it gives a double shot at a sale, where at the moment, with no customer awareness, i don't think it does. However, the caveat would be that they need to address the ENT world that it is available, so it an be recommended.
