Walmart reviews are stuck on 33 for this week. JM says they will concentrate on the 1000 POS which have produced sales and assume that 5 sales per month for each of these will compensate for lack of sales in the remaining 4000 which are deemed demographically unsuitable. CFO says sales are in the 100s not the 1000s that are needed for profitability. Doesn't this mean that for the good 1000 POS they have not sold a total of 1000 buds ie less than one per POS for Q2? Is it a good idea to neglect the other 4000 POS rather that seek to improve them when they need only one sale per month from each and when that was the original sales strategy? Assuming the same people enter a store at least once a week to buy food or browse, will sales soon reach a saturation point in the so called good outlets? The pattern of trying something new but then not following through has left a trail of unfinished business in previous ventures.
