and this is not a hearing aid. it will just have the ability to both cut some frequencies and amplify others. there is then the whole connectivity factor.
the cool looking buds: it will be interesting to see the sound quality as this apparently is the letdown with current wireless music headphones from my reading of reviews of existing products. apparently the only ones that sound any good are the ones with an arm that wrap around the back of the ear and make you look special (not in a good way). considering the hardware in the buds, I would expect the sound quality to be excellent. (that is a 2b market alone http://edition.cnn.com/2014/01/13/tech/beats-headphones-audio-market/ )
but they are not just a music headphone. there is then the whole connectivity side of things.
and from the design choice they have dealt with the problem of sweat causing wireless buds to slip out. will also be interesting to see.
