I found this interesting.  May argue the device does not look as good but the internal processing already does the focused listening trick (hearing in noisy environments better than normal (ie people with normal hearing) for people with hearing loss and has clinical trials to back it up.. Also already on the market and produced by a very large international company ( as they say on the website- the largest engineering company in Europe with a market cap of $75 billion).
