That would be expensive as would require a jack up type rig off shore , would it not be better to just do another side track with the rig based on the land , and perforate the drill stem where ever they think the most pay is , also potentially less environmental concerns ie if a blow out preventer failed its on at the well head on land not in the sea.
A little knowledge is dangerous and that is all I have , so welcome to be corrected .
